CleanMyImg is a browser-based tool for resizing and cropping images to common social and web dimensions, including 16:9 widescreen, 4:3 and 3:4 standard photo ratios, 1:1 square tiles, 4:5 vertical feed posts, and 9:16 full-screen stories. An original-ratio option is also available when no cropping is needed, and every crop can be repositioned and scaled with the pan and zoom controls before export.

All processing takes place on your own device using the HTML5 Canvas API. When you upload a photo, adjust its crop, and download the result, the file is never transmitted to a server — the entire operation runs locally within your browser tab. This local, browser-based approach means the tool can be used without creating an account or waiting on file uploads and downloads over a network connection.

A secondary effect of exporting an image through Canvas is that embedded metadata — including EXIF details such as camera model, capture settings, and GPS location tags — is not carried over into the new file, since the canvas re-encodes pixel data only. This makes CleanMyImg a convenient option when preparing images for sharing where you'd prefer not to include that additional embedded information.

The tool works directly in modern desktop and mobile browsers with no installation required. Supported input formats include JPG, PNG, and WEBP, with output delivered as a high-quality JPG file ready to download.
